Montana, June 2011

After an epic Greyhound ride through Minnesota, all of North Dakota and much of Montana, we finally arrived in Bozeman, MT in the early hours of the 18th. Our wonderful host Bluette - who, with partner John, made our week in the Rockies truly unforgettable - was there to pick us up; their house way out on the plains, nestling on a lush farmland plain and surrounded by no less than four mountain ranges, would be our base for the next seven days.

But in truth we saw little of it, with a drilled schedule drawn up to maximise our every waking hour in the area - from the local ranges of Bridger Canyon and the Crazies, to Hyalite Creek and the Gallatin range to the south, to Harrison and Lake Ennis to the west, and various points inbetween.

And then there was Yellowstone.....
